When We Are ClosedNHS111_(2).jpg

If you need medical attention when the surgery is closed please call 111.

Calls to the 111 service are free of charge from landlines and mobiles. Pay-as-you-go mobiles require a minimum of 1p credit.  Please note calls to this service are recorded and retained for audit and training purposes.

If required you will be put through to the doctor on-call. Speaking with the doctor may be enough. If not, you may be asked to attend the Out-of-Hours Treatment Centre. This is based at North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple. If you need a home visit on medical grounds this will be arranged.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Please click the link to see the Devon Doctors website for further out of hours information.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
